A Rainy Morning in Chicago

I love to sit inside my house, with a cup of tea, maybe a scone, watching the rain fall, listening to the thunder and watching the lightening. However, I hate to be going to work while all this is going on and running between the raindrops to my office building. Yuk! I hate to be wet with all my clothes on and sit in an office! It's a rainy morning here in beautiful downtown Chicago. It's strange to hear the rain falling outside while you're at the bottom of the stairs going out of the "L" station deciding whether or not to go up and get wet. The sky is dark and it looks very eery outside! It's supposed to get better later this afternoon and much better this weekend. Enough of the weather report!
Speaking of weekend - YEAH it's Friday! What a wonderful day Friday is even if it's raining! No grocery shopping today and I'll come home to a clean house - my first time to have a cleaning lady come and clean for me. I hope she doesn't tell my friends how messy and dirty my house is! : ) It will be so nice to have a clean house for the weekend. Too bad she can't cook and do my laundry too! Then I would have all the time in the world to knit, scrap and quilt!

Had a fun time at knitting last night. I did a lot of knitting on my April project - a drop stitch scarf. I also blocked my March scarf Wednesday night and it looks beautiful. Can't wait to wear it. I'm planning to put the tassels on the scarf I made last year so I might be able to wear it this year! Things are coming along. Watch for the posting on Sunday (April Fool's Day) of my Maggie Jackson Shawl. I have it 90% completed and will finish it tonight or on Saturday, it's a beautiful garment if I must say so myself!

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy!

Dinner With Michael

Had a wonderful dinner cooked by my DB Michael last night! He made pulled pork and we had delicious sandwiches. He even brought rolls, cheese and coleslaw! What a feast! We were all too full to have a dessert.

I was excited to see a brand new red Dodge Challenger parked in front of my house when I came home. I came in to the house and asked Michael if that was my birthday present and he laughed! He bought a brand new car after trading in his old car. What a nice car. I'm sure he'll be picking up the chicks in that car! : )

I finished my latest book Minding Frankie last night. It was a great book and I highly recommend it. Now I am reading the Lucky One.

Tonight is knit night at Woolly Lamb. I am anxious to go there as it signals the end of the week for me. Just Friday left and that's it!

Not a lot to report today but I will be posting the picture of my shawl over the weekend.

Hump Day - Wednesday!

Good morning,
I was very surprised when I came home last night! I had a busy day at work and a long commute home due to some train problems. When I arrived home, a "SWEET"surprise from Germany was waiting for me - my dear friends, Mandy and Thomas sent me some delicious chocolates from Germany. They are so good - I'm not sure I want to share them!! I am very blessed to have such wonderful friends. It's a shame they are so far away!

I also received some good news from my brother. He is coming over tonight to cook dinner for us! Pulled pork, cole slaw and something else. It will be nice for my DH and I to come home and not have to worry about dinner! We will provide the dessert; maybe an ice cream cake roll!

I'm almost done reading my latest book Minding Frankie by Maeve Binchy (not Finding Frankie as I thought - it's tough to be old!) It has been a really good read and I've enjoyed it immensely. I just downloaded another book onto my Kindle from the library this morning by Danielle Steel; Hotel Vendome. I'll probably skim it if it turns out to be a typical Danielle Steel book. I also got the latest Nicholas Sparks book; The Lucky One from the library last night. It's a two week loan book so I now have two books to read within two weeks! Oh well, I have a long commute every day and a lunch break so you know what I will be doing! I love reading! I also want to read a book my dear friend Mandy has recommended about Steve Jobs. So much to read and so little time! Just like my knitting and scrapping. Maybe I should quit working? : ) Ha-ha!! Then I couldn't afford to do all the above things! Luckily I love my job!

Off to work I go now. Still a few personal things I need to do before I start at 9:00 a.m. Have a wonderful day.

Good Morning from Downtown Chicago!

Almost done with the Maggie Wrap! I just have a bit more to do and will definitely finish it by the end of the week; my goal date. I will post a picture by April 1 - no April Fool! Once Carol finishes hers, we're going to take a picture with Carol, Liz and myself wearing our wraps and I will post it. Each of us made one in a different color.

My next project for Monday night class will be to complete a half finished Maggie vest. My goal for completion of this garment is the end of April! It's in a very soft blue linen color. I can't wait to get to that one! I think I must set a goal to finish one item each month. It is doable since many of my items are unfinished projects or UFO's and a lot of the work has been done already! I'll be cleaning out those projects like 60!

I am really enjoying my library Kindle book; Finding Frankie by Maeve Binchy. I'm about half-way done and need to finish it soon as I have to pick up a physical book tonight from the library; The Lucky One by Nicholas Sparks. Can't wait to start that one! One thing my job has done for me has been to rekindle (no pun intended) my love for reading. I'm still on the waiting list at the library for the DVD The Descendants. I can't bring myself to pay $20.00 for the DVD and never watch it again. I can wait for the library copy! I have also rediscovered my love for the library.

The Woolly Lamb ladies are still planning to have a monthly "quilting bee" during the summer. I am excited about this as that's really the only time I quilt because there's no Sunday knitting at Woolly Lamb. Brigitte closes on Sundays during the summer. It's sad for is but then we have a great celebration when she opens again on Sundays in October. We'll do just about anything for a party!

Heard from a voice from the past at LUMC yesterday. What a treat to know that people there are still thinking about me! I do miss so many people there! I am making friends here at my new job and enjoying learning from these young people. They are so smart! It's a new world for me and I am learning new things every day! Hopefully I am also helping them learn new things too!

Until the next time....

Pictures As Promised!

Good morning!
As promised (so long ago!) I am attaching some pictures of my finished and unfinished projects as well as some beautiful items I received and purchased!

This is the beautiful red glass necklace my dear friends, Mandy and Thomas sent me from Germany for my birthday. Mandy said someone from Thomas' work made it for me. This picture doesn't do it justice but it is truly beautiful! I took it myself in the bathroom mirror!
This is a great yarn bowl Brigitte was selling at Woolly Lamb on Thursday at Open Knit Night. She received twelve on Thursday afternoon  and at 9:00 that night, she had two left! I love mine because - you'll know why....
  it's RED!!!! : )

The Completed Chinook Scarf!

I still  need to block this project - our March project - but I wanted to show it now. It really is a pretty scarf and will look much nicer once I block it. I stayed up last night to finish it. I did purchase two more skeins of this yarn from the "orphan" bin but I'm not sure what position this repeat is in the project "que."

Open Knit Night Tonight!!

The best thing about today is it's Open Knit Night at Woolly Lamb! I actually remembered to bring (it's in my car as I type) the pattern I was telling Brigitte about. It's a scarf that calls for one skein of Berroco Flicker - you know, that beautiful sparkly soft yarn! I hope everyone likes it and decides to make it. I also started my sherbet orange summer cowl in a honeycomb pattern. It's a very nice yarn to work with (just can't remember the name of it) and I hope everyone likes that pattern too. I also have the salad bowl I promised to bring for Jane (aka Martha Stewart) in my car. I'm so proud that I remembered everything!

Now, the only hitch is that my DH has to take the DD to the vet tonight to check her eye. There seems to be a growth under her eyelid and it's begun to ooze. So, if my DS (dear son) can't go with him, I volunteered to go. Oh well, let's hope the DS can go! Otherwise, I won't make it there to knit. Oh well!!!

Hope everyone has a great day today. I'm off to work again.

Another Beautiful Day in Chicago

Did your candidate win yesterday? Did you vote? I love the story about two drunk voting judges...typical Chicago politics. I also like the story about the judge selling candy at the polling place! Talk about a captive audience!

Can you believe this beautiful weather in Chicago? It's beyond my thinking that on March 20, 2012 I walk out of my office and find a restaurant next door all set up for outside eating and at full capacity! I can't believe how lucky we are. I hope we don't pay for it next winter or this summer with 100 degree days!

The 16 year old mini-van is back up and running like new - ha-ha! It turned out to be a computer something or another problem. That was replaced along with something that keeps the front end from falling down! There is a problem with Dodge mini-vans - the struts rust out and look like they're going to fall down. (it also could be the darn car is 16 YEARS OLD!) Anyway, that was fixed and $1,300 later - good as new - until something else goes wrong! PWT - that's what we are (Poor White Trash!)

The good news is that the DD (Dear Dog) is well and back on track. The only problem is we'll never get her to eat dog food again! She LOVES the hamburger and rice/spaghetti/noodles we've been feeding her. She thinks that's her new diet! She goes to the vet again tomorrow because now she has a growth on the inside of her eyelid that is draining and ucky stuff comes out of her eye. She may need to have it surgically removed and then wear a collar - poor baby - it's tough getting old!

My Maggie Jackson wrap is coming along nicely. Now if I can only find the time to finish sewing it at home so I don't take up too much time at class! I will get it done before the end of the month if not by April 2!!! I've also started (year, I know I have start-i-tis) a new summer cowl. It's in a great shade of orange and has a honeycomb pattern. As soon as I have done another few rows that really show the pattern, I'll post a picture. I'm still working on the March Woolly Lamb Knitting project and have already started the April project. Still need to start and complete the January project. So much knitting, so little time!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, it's off to work I go.......

Good Morning Summer!

I can't believe the beautiful weather we enjoyed this past weekend! It was actually hot on March 18th! Who would believe you'd be wearing shorts on March 18th in Chicago? What a wonderful weather pattern we've enjoyed this year. Today is another nice day with a chance of rain...but we actually do need rain!

My weekend started out enjoyable. However, it quickly went downhill.... Sable was very sick but I am happy to report she is on the mend and eating like a pig! We're still waiting for the solid BM (sorry if you're eating breakfast now) so once that happens, we're golden. Have to give a status update to the doctor this morning and find out what our next move it.

We went to pick up the boys at the airport after their "Vegas Spring Break Vacation" (maybe we can make a movie?) on Friday night at 10:30. After missing the departure level (my DH likes to pick up from that level) 3 times, my 16 year old car died right in the middle of nowhere somewhere within the maze of the expressway and the airport. Going 60 miles an hour and it just dies. Luckily it was late and there wasn't a lot of traffic. Unfortunately we didn't know where we were! We could see the expressway and the "EL" but had no idea where we were to have a tow truck come and save us. I said we should call 911 and tell them and no sooner had I said that and look out the window and a blessed Chicago Police Officer drove up. SAVED!!! He called a tow truck for us and they towed us to the cell phone lot. Once the tow truck came, he drove me to the taxi stand at the airport so I could take a cab to the Cumberland station and pick up the boys. I had a great conversation with the lady who was in charge there. Very friendly person!  (However, That's where my adventure began but I don't want to talk about that fiasco - suffice to say I HATE CAB DRIVERS WHEN THEY SAY "I HAVE A SHORT RUN!") Anyway, alls well that ends well; the boys and I made it home (thanks to our local cab company), Tom made it home with the car after calling our tow truck, and we're all still alive and not in jail. Yes, it was an adventure. The real shock will be when we hear what the cost will be to fix my car! : {  Now we're only working with one car! Thank God I don't drive to work anymore!

By the way, the boys had a great time in Vegas and really enjoyed living the high life thanks to one of their rich friends who went along. I said, enjoy it when you can! It's just unfortunately that Uncle Stevie wasn't there to show them the hot spots in Vegas that only a Vegas cab driver can show!

I was happy when our Abt service person (I say service person because it was a woman!) came on Saturday morning to look at my stove. The oven wasn't heating and all it needed was a new thermo something or another and it works like a charm now. She was really knowledgeable and knew exactly what was wrong before she even came in the house. Fifteen minutes later and it was as good as new! Saved about $500.00 because we didn't need a new stove. As my DH said, what do we need a new stove for? You only use the oven once or twice a year! Now, how do you think we're going to heat up our weekly frozen pizza if we don't have an oven? : ) He is partially correct, I don't cook that much and it would have killed me to buy a new stove just for frozen pizza! Ha-Ha!!

My one salvation was going to Woolly Lamb on Sunday. We had a great time, some of us exercised on our new equipment and some of us went for a walk. Slugs like me just sat munching Irish Soda Break slathered with Irish butter and sliced pears! What a life! It is a joy going to knit there with Brigitte and the gang! I even got a chance to Skype with Mandy!

Well, I promise to post some pictures soon. Until then, this is a picture of the skeleton hat I knit for Gregory. Not sure if he'll be wearing it anytime too soon! : )

Thank God It's Friday!!!

I seem to live for the weekends don't I? Then during the weekend, I'm so busy I can't wait to get to work to relax! Oh well, I don't want to wish my life away! It goes fast enough!

Thank you all for your birthday wishes. I didn't have a great birthDAY because we had our little doggy at the vet that day. She's been feeling bad all week and we had to take her to Animal 911 in Skokie. They are very good and efficient there and told us she has a mild case of pancreatitis and was a bit dehydrated. We left after paying almost $600 and armed with a ton of medicine. She is still not feeling well so we're taking her to our vet today. They may keep her overnight to give her fluids and food. She's not eating at all.  My poor DH has been on duty all night with her and takes her outside whenever she thinks she has to go but nothing comes out. : (  Say a little prayer for our baby girl!

I did make it to Thursday Knit Night at Woolly Lamb last night and was truly surprised. There was a ton of food and two cakes; one was a St. Patrick's Day cake and our dear friend Wayne made me a personal cake and cupcakes for everyone. Everything was so delicious and I thank everyone for their thoughtfulness and remembering my birthday. I am truly blessed to have so many thoughtful friends and family members.

The boys are coming home from Vegas tonight. Gregory was up earlier this week but I texted him last night because we hadn't heard from him. I asked him to buy me a birthday present with his winnings. He texted back that he will be lucky if he comes home with what he started with. Oh well, no present for me! I guess it's best if he comes back even rather than losing it all! After all, you have to gamble in Vegas and they're not going to let you walk away with that much $$$$.

(Closest I could get to a St. Patrick's Day picture - Auntie Elaines hat in from of my Shamrock placemat!)

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone. Please don't drink and drive this weekend; take a cab or public transportation. Be the designated driver. The life you save could be your own!

Good Morning and Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Yes, today is my birthday! I don't celebrate too much since David was born. His birthday always came first and was more celebrated. He was and always is my birthday present! Thank you to both him and Joanne for the birthday cards this morning. My DH also gave me a birthday card but I told him no gifts because I had gotten enough things from Woolly Lamb and Amazon.com for myself already! I always like to buy my own gifts because then I get what I want! : )

I woke up to a rendition of Happy Birthday from my dear friend in Germany, Mandy. It amazes me that we can communicate so easily with the help of email, whatsap, and Skyping. You would never imagine that it is possible with the distance and time difference. It is so wonderful to have Mandy and Thomas as my dear friends. I have been so blessed! It was so nice to wake up with a Happy Birthday!

I went to get my free cup of Starbucks but the place downtown didn't accept my coupon! Happy Birthday to me! Oh well, I got the coffee anyway as a treat! I'll try closer to home this weekend.

Otherwise, not an eventful day. I put some chicken and rice in the crock pot this morning so dinner will be done when I get home. I will stop over at my neighbor Linda's house tonight with a gift for her; our birthdays are both today! Isn't that amazing?

Thank you to everyone for your birthday wishes and cards. I appreciate your thoughtfulness!

Happy Birthday to My Son David!

Happy Birthday Davey Do! I can't believe you were born 27 years ago!!! You have accomplished so much in your short time on this earth. Your Father and I are so proud of you and everything you've done. You are a very intelligent and handsome man. We know you will go far in this world! Have a wonderful day.

Now, to the important birthday; MINE! : ) Not really, after David was born, my birthday (March 14) became just another day. At this point, I don't even want to celebrate another year but I do want to celebrate another year closer to retirement!!! That's the way I look at it now; 10 more years until I can stop working!

Nothing earth shattering to write about today. I went to my knitting class, Beyond The Basics at Woolly Lamb last night and didn't accomplish too much on my wrap. I am taking it slowly so I do it right. I hope to have it completed before the end of March - and I will!! I'll post a picture of it all completed on April Fool's Day! (No foolin')

Happy last day of work for three weeks to my dear friend in Germany. I'm sure she's going to enjoy her time off! I wish her lots of sleep and relaxation!

Enjoy your day!

Happy Monday!

Mondays just keep coming don't they? I guess we should be happy they do!

The weekend was very busy for me. I had a dentist appointment on Saturday and found out I did indeed crack my tooth. Luckily this tooth had a root canal so I'm in no pain. If it wasn't, I would be in some real pain. Thank God for root canals? Anyway, I will need to see an oral surgeon and find out the extent of the break to determine if I can get a crown for this tooth since a this tooth never got a crown. Oh well, more pain, expense and time off from work. I also had my teeth cleaned and they found only one cavity (besides the stupid cracked tooth!)

Of course I stopped at the card shop and bought some goodies for several people. Archiver's is very close to the dentist's office so while I was waiting to see dentist, I stopped there too! It would be a shame if I didn't use that time to shop since the stores were nearby! I bought a ribbon cutter (yes, of course you need a battery operated ribbon cutter - it also seals the cut end....don't you hate when you cut ribbon and it frays? I also bought something new that I saw to make cuts in paper to thread the ribbon that I just cut with the ribbon cutter! Come on now, I haven't been to Archiver's in a long time! The pet shop is next door to Archiver's so I also stopped and got some treats for the DD (dear dog.)

My youngest son came home with two of this friends this weekend. They stayed overnight at our house so they could go to the airport and fly out for Spring Break in Vegas! We took them out for pizza and then they stayed out to have some fun on their own. I wish I could go somewhere for Spring Break! (I wouldn't even mind just staying home for Spring Break!) Ha-Ha!!

Sunday I watched a bit of the North Side Irish Parade. It was mostly politicians but the weather was so beautiful I didn't mind standing and watching. Then, of course, I made it to Woolly Lamb! We had a great time and were invited to the St. Patrick's Day party next door at the Salon, Do or Dye. They had so much food and beverages to share with us. We really enjoyed ourselves and got a bit of knitting done too! Our Dear friend Tom, once again, brought a beautiful new pattern and we got a jump on our April project. I will post pictures tomorrow of the progress I'm making on my March project, the April project, and my Maggie Jackson wrap, shawl, stole - whatever you want to call it!

Once again, I forgot my cell phone at home this morning. I was so busy getting the crock pot beef stew dinner ready that I forgot about the phone. Oh well, at least dinner will be ready when I get home tonight!

Have a wonderful day and I will try to post some pictures tonight or tomorrow!

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!!!!

Hello and I apologize for my absence! This week was the dreaded "MONTHLY REPORT" week. This is a major part of my job and it actually takes one week to complete! (No kidding!)  Mountains of paper print at 12:00 midnight on the second (or third) day of each month. I then have to "shuffle" these papers and send them out to people who probably don't care about them or even look at them. I send approximately 700 pieces of mail out. That's a lot of paper shuffling!!! Instead of "playing" for an hour when I get to work early each day, I started working on the report. That's why I haven't posted since Tuesday. It's done now so I can breath a sigh of relieve, at least until April 1 (April Fool's Day!)

I actually had a wonderful week, once I got  home each night. One night I came home and had two surprises; one was a post card telling me I get a free cup of Starbuck's coffee since it's my birthday (March 14.) The other was a pink change purse I received from Brighton. My DH celebrated his 25th year at work and they gave him a brochure to pick out a gift. He didn't see anything he wanted so he gave it to me. I picked out a beautiful Brighton purse. Once I sent in the warranty card, they sent me a lovely little pink purse. I will post a pic another time.

Then the next day I came home and received a wonderful surprise from my dear friends in Germany, Mandy and Thomas. They remembered my birthday (March 14) with a beautiful necklace - and it was my favorite color - RED! I was so surprised and excited. I will take a picture of it when I'm wearing it and post this weekend. They also sent a cute little card with a shamrock and a lady bug on it! I think I'll frame it and keep it on my desk at work so I can think of them whenever I look at it!

I was also thrilled last night when I came home and received a lovely thank you note from my Aunt Elaine. She loved the hat I made for her and she said it looks beautiful on her! I'm so happy she liked it!

So all in all, it was a great week - once I got home! Ha-ha!! Unfortunately I didn't make it to knitting last night because I was so worn out with work and all the excitement at home! :  )

Until the next time...........

Tuesday, March 6, 2012

Good Tuesday Morning!

Today is my Aunt Elaine's birthday! Happy Birthday Aunt Elaine! She is my Mother's youngest sister. My cousin Janice, her favorite daughter (ha-ha), will be either taking her out to lunch or dinner today. She will also be giving her the red hat I made for her. I can't wait to find out if she likes it or not. I always hate to make things for people that they request because what if they don't like it? Oh well, she didn't pay anything for it and you know what they say, you get what you pay for! : )

Had a great time at Woolly Lamb last night. I actually have a great deal of my Maggie wrap completed. It really is relatively easy, but time intensive. We all know I hate stuff like that! Liz's wrap is so beautiful - I hope mine turns out that good too! I forgot to get a picture of hers to post - next time. We had a great time at the class last night; lots of chatting and laughing. I love going to Woolly Lamb!

Not too much else to report. I am in the throes of the dreaded monthly report at work so I am in seclusion in
a room with no windows. At least I have a radio for company!

Have a wonderful day and enjoy this beautiful sunshine and warm temperatures. Can we have gotten away with such a mild winter? I hesitate to celebrate but it is almost the middle of March! I just hope our Spring and Summer are great too!

Happy Monday!

Good morning to all my friends and family! Today is Pulaski Day - a day off for the Chicago Public School children and some adults! Not me though! I went to a grammar school named Casimir Pulaski. I think I should get the day off just for that fact! Ha-ha!! Seriously, I also went to Lane Technical High School and I've been reading in the newspaper how hard it now is to get into that school! I'm impressed with myself!

I had a wonderfully busy weekend. After grocery shopping on Saturday, I had lunch, went to the library and then went to Woolly Lamb and sat there all afternoon! It was delightful! We sat and knitted, chatted, and had a great time. Then we went to a Chinese restaurant for dinner and were very full - for a while! : ) I sat the rest of the night and knitted while watching TV. What a wonderful day.

Then on Sunday, we went out to breakfast but were shut out of our favorite place - The Lucky Grill - we got there too late and there were no seats. So we went to a new place, for us, and had a wonderful breakfast. I had strawberry pancakes. They actually put strawberries in the pancake batter and fresh strawberries on top! Yum. Tom had eggs and bacon. We both loved our breakfasts but it was double the price of Lucky Grill! Oh well, change is good. In between all this, I managed to get all my laundry and ironing done, and put everything away. Then, guess what, I went to Woolly Lamb again Sunday afternoon! I should own stock in that place. Again, we had a wonderful time - do we ever not have a wonderful time?

Tonight I will begin putting together my Maggie cape (as I realize it is now a cape and now a stole!) I wove in all the threads, press each piece and have them waiting for me at home to bag and take to Woolly Lamb. Liz has her's all together and it looks beautiful! I can't wait to post a picture when I'm done. I'll see if Liz will let me take a picture of hers and post it. She says it's easy to put together so I'm not too intimidated -yet.

Well, I guess it's back to work for me now. Have a wonderful day and if you have the day off or are retired, enjoy! Otherwise, enjoy the day anyway! : )

Friday, March 2, 2012

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY!!!! : )

That's about all I have to say about today!

Also, my back is back (no pun intended) to 100%. I guess it must have been all that wine I drank at Woolly Lamb last night! Ha-ha!! Had a great time last night and Brigitte announced our March project....it's the Chinook scarf I've already started! Yeah! I'm about 1/4 done so I may get it completed by the end of March! I'm going to try my best to finish it quickly so I can catch up and do the January project - the fingerless gloves!

Woke up this morning at 4:00 a.m. (just like Mandy!) and couldn't get back to sleep. I had a dream that I made a mistake at work and was being chastised about it. Do you think I'm stressed at work? I can remember having dreams like that when I first started my last job - 10 years ago!! Oh well, I sat and ready a bit before going to work.

Until the next post - have a wonderful weekend!

Happy March - My Birthday Month!!!!!

Good morning,
Today started out cold and windy. Not as bad as it could be - at least there was no rain - yet. Don't they say March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb? Yesterday I left work downtown and the temperature was wonderful. It felt like Spring. I got home and the wind was howling and it was freezing cold! I couldn't believe the temperature difference. Oh well, that's Chicago for you!

Couldn't do much knitting last night as my back was hurting. Still hurts a bit today and the aspirin I took aren't helping yet! Hopefully they will kick in or I will take some more at 10:30 a.m.! Hate when my back hurts!

I just bought Season 1 of The Game of Thrones on Blu-ray from Amazon.com. I am almost through Book 3 and can't wait to read Book 4. It is a very good read and I'm looking forward to watching the show.

Unfortunately there was a lot of damage and deaths with yesterday's tornadoes. I think they reported that there were 80 tornadoes across the Midwest! Luckily my family in southern Illinois were all spared any tornadoes!

Well, off to work I go now. One more day of this week. Tonight is knitting and we're going to be talking about getting together on Sunday's, when Woolly Lamb is closed, to learn how to quilt! Of course, we have to take a shopping trip to buy all the tools!! : )  That will be fun! I hope we all follow through with this plan as I'm looking forward to getting back to quilting again!

Have a great day and look forward to the coming of Spring later this month!
