Cricut Machine

I finally purchased my first Cricut....now I have to figure out how to use it! I played with it a bit a couple weeks ago but wasn't really satisfied with the results. I have several cartridges but am not sure how to get things cut!

Away to School

My youngest son will be going off to college this morning....not too far...so we can visit him regularly! (I don't think he'll enjoy that!) I'm not too emotional because we've done it with him several times now as well as his older brother. A secret part of me is happy because then I can use his bedroom! He will be a junior this year and is living in an apartment with 4 rommoates. That should give him tons of stories for his own children some day! I hope he has fun but I hope he learns some common sense through this all!

We went looking at furniture for him as well as a bed last night. He doesn't need a lot so that will be good! I'd love to get him a nice desk and chair but he won't have room. Hopefully he has room for the things he needs!

Has It Been Over A Year Already?

I can't believe I haven't blogged in over one year! So much in my life has changed! Where to begin....I have a new job in the same place. That change occured in late January of this year. The person I used to work for decided she didn't like me so I was lucky enough to have gotten a position in the same office but with a different boss. Not so bad...

My gallblader is gone...after an emergency surgery. Went to McDonald's for lunch on August 31, 2009 and had a gallblader attack that night! Haven't been to McDonald's since then! It will be my one year anniversary soon and I'm trying to decide whether or not I should go again! I did love those Big Macs and fries!

Haven't lost any more weight, in fact, I've gained more. Hate to say what I now weigh...

I have finished two (almost) quilts. I still need to quilt them and then put the binding on. I finished one doll quilt and gave it to one of my co-workers for her daughter's birthday.

Knitting is still going along...spending too much $$$ and not finishing much. I do love to go to Woolly Lamb on Knit Night and have a drink or two! I am currently working on about 10 projects and haven't finished any new actual garments for myself...do we see a pattern emerging in my life?

Scrapbooking has been coming along. I actually finished the "Stitch and Pitch" pictures from 2009....just in time to get more pics from the "Stitch and Pitch" coming up next month. I've been making cards and small photo albums but just don't have the time to get everything done! Maybe when I retire...

I had my first colonoscopy a week ago. It wasn't that bad...yes, the prep is the worst part. Got a good bill of health so the next one will be in 7 years...when I'm 60...oh yeah, that's gonna happen!
